How do you ship your products?

Customers choose their preferred shipping method – Ground/3 Day, 2 Day, Next Day. Standard delivery arrives within three business days.

What do I do when my shipment arrives?

We have taken great care to ship your product so that it arrives fresh and ready to eat. Upon arrival, remove the product from the insulated container and refrigerate immediately.

Do your products contain MSG?

The following products are MSG Free:

Are your products gluten free?

Petit Jean meat products are gluten free. Sides and desserts contain gluten.

How long can you freeze a ham?

Our products can be safely frozen for up to one year in the original vacuum packaging.

How long can a ham be kept in the refrigerator?

Hams that are vacuum sealed can be kept in the refrigerator for two-three weeks. When the vacuum seal is broken, the ham needs to be eaten within 7 days or can be frozen in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.

Does the ham have to be cooled?

All of our products need to be kept in the refrigerator or freezer.

How many people does a ham feed?

Depending on the weight, our bone-in hams feed 25-40 people – Small 25, Medium, 30, Large, 40. Our EZ Carve ham (boneless) feeds 25. Remember to increase this number for a buffet and decrease it for a sit-down meal.

How do I heat your hams?

Whole Ham - Remove bag. Place ham on rack in open pan.  Add 1/8" to 1/4" water in the pan.  Bake in oven at 325 degrees for 12 minutes per pound.  Cook uncovered for the first two hours then cover the reminaing time.  Garnish if desired.  Let sit, uncovered, for at least 30 minutes before carving and serving.  (All of our hams are fully cooked and do not require additional cooking.)

Whole Spiral Ham - Remove bag.  Double wrap ham in aluminum foil prior to heating to retain moisture.  Bake in oven at 325 degrees for 12 minutes per pound.  Garnish if desired and serve.

1/2 Spiral Ham, 1/2 Bone-In and Boneless Ham - Remove bag.  Double wrap ham in aluminum foil prior to heating to retain moisture.  Bake in oven at 325 degrees for 10 minutes per pound.  Garnish if desired and serve.

Turkey - If frozen the turkey will need to be thawed.  Thaw in refrigerator for three days.  Heat - Remove bag.  Place turkey on rack in open pan.  To heat throughout, heat for 10 minutes per pound at 300 degrees until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 155 degrees. (All of our turkeys are fully cooked and do no require additional cooking.)

Are your hams spiral sliced?

We offer both spiral-sliced and ready-to-slice hams. Pick your favorite!

What is the difference between a bone-in and EZ Carve ham?

The only difference between the two hams is that we have removed the bone from the EZ Carve for easy slicing.

How do I heat your side dishes?

Boil in Bag from frozen
  1. Fill a 6 quarts stockpot with 3 quarts of water
  2. Bring water to a boil 
  3. Add bag with contents 
  4. Boil 30 minutes or until contents reach internal temperature of 165 degrees 
Note: If contents are thawed cut cooking time will reduce 
Conventional Oven from frozen   
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 
  2. Remove contents from the bag
  3. Place contents into an oven-safe baking dish and cover 
  4. Bake for 30 minutes then stir contents and re-cover
  5. Return contents to oven and bake an additional 10 minutes 
  6. Cook until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees 
Note: If contents are thawed cut cooking time will reduce 
Insta Pot from Frozen 
  1. Put 1/2 cup of water inside the cooking pot 
  2. Place bag with contents inside the cooking pot 
  3. Lock the lid into place, select sealing, select manual and then cook for 12 minutes 
  4. Use the quick release to remove the lid 
  5. Serve hot 

Note: if contents are thawed cooking will be approximately 8 minutes

Side dishes are good in the refrigerator up to 7 days unopened

    Side dishes are good in the freezer up to 6 months in the freezer unopened
